TIGGELEN, Martinus Van {I00067} (b. 16 OCT 1892, d. 21 JUL 1973)

Note: Apprenticed to Hermann A. Schreuder & Co. , Schoonhoven on October 17, 1904 in general administration.
Promoted to accountant in 1928 and general manager in 1942. He retired in 1953 to move to Tasmania with his wife to be nearer to his only child (Barend) (taken from a certified translation of a testimonial provided to Martinus by P.J.J. Schreuder on 29/7/1952 held by Tine Lloyd

Martinus emmigrated in 1953 to Australia to be with his only son however his wife Anna was homesick and in 1955 they returned to Holland. Anna died in March 1971 and in late 1971 Martinus returned to Australia. Simultaneoulsy his son Ben and family moved to Warburton, Victoria. In July 1973 Marinus died of bowel cancer. It is believed he had the cancer when he arrived in Australia,
