"Doctor Pomery's Little Liver Pills" were invented by
Dr Pomery, Snr at the Isie of Wight, England and all
the Pomery males were expected to follow the
medical profession. However, when Frederick William
deserted that occupation, his father, though
disappointed, assisted the migration of his son to
Australia as a "Remittance Man".
Frederick Pomery became a Lay Preacher at St
John's Church of England, Bega, NSW and was a
member of me Bega AP & H Society. His four eldest
sons, Edward, Joseph, Norman and Victor were a!!
WW1 ANZAC's at Gallipoli and all returned home
safely.
Frederick William Pomery had a sister, Grace Pomery,
who nursed with the famous Edith Cavell,
